Description
Tretoin Microsphere Gel 0.1%?
Included is:
- One 20 gram tube of Tretoin brand tretinoin microsphere gel 0.1%
This is considered a high-strength retinoid. A great choice for those experienced with retinoid use and are already accustomed to its temporary side effects on the skin, such as flaking and peeling.
What is Tretoin Microsphere Gel 0.1%?
Tretoin microsphere gel 0.1% is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin renew itself. It is commonly used to treat acne, visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin discoloration, and promote smoother, more even-textured skin. Tretinoin is the gold-standard treatment for comedonal acne—whiteheads and blackheads—because it increases skin cell turnover and helps clear clogged pores while preventing new comedones from forming.
What makes this formulation distinct is its microsphere delivery system. The tretinoin is time-released, allowing for slower absorption. This can improve long-term results while reducing unwanted side effects such as dryness, peeling, and irritation compared to traditional tretinoin creams or gels.
Tretinoin is also the only topical ingredient clinically proven to improve wrinkles, making it one of the most researched and effective prescription skincare ingredients available.
Although tretinoin is extremely effective, acne improvement may take 8–12 weeks of consistent use. Applying more product will not speed results and may increase irritation. Improvements in fine lines and wrinkles may take 6–12 months. Early irritation and flaking are common, and many users mistakenly stop treatment. Continued use is essential for best results.
