How does it work?

Eflornithine HCI 13.9% has been clinically proven to reduce the growth of unwanted facial hair. This treatment blocks an enzyme (ornithine decarboxylase (ODC)), which is required for the growth of hair in the skin, thereby slowing down hair growth and making hair lighter. Improvement in the condition occurs gradually. You may spend less time removing hair, or in the frequency of hair removal, with Elyn cream^.

You may see results as early as 4-8 weeks when used twice daily, at least 8 hours apart (or as directed). Individual results may vary. You will need to continue your normal procedures for hair removal until desired results have been achieved. It does not permanently remove hair or “cure” unwanted facial hair. It is not meant to be used alone but, rather, in conjunction with any hair removal technique already being used

Cautions:
Elyn Cream HCI 13.9% is applied to the skin for the reduction of unwanted facial and body hair. Elyn cream appears better suited to hair removal on the whole body, not just the face (Eflora Cream would be a better choice for treating unwanted facial hair only.)

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the cream, you should not use Elyn. Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Elyn cream may cause acne, folliculitis (hair bumps), stinging or burning of the skin, headache, dry skin, itching or tingling of the skin, redness or irritation of the skin, indigestion, rash, hair loss and dizziness. If these persist, stop use of and contact your doctor. Avoid getting the medication in your eyes or inside your nose or mouth. If the product gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. If condition gets worse with treatment, stop use and contact your doctor.
